Zika virus

is spread by Aedes mosquitoes. It comes from the Zika forest in Uganda, and shares a genus with dengue, yellow fever and Japanese encephalitis viruses. An infection from the virus is named as a Zika fever or Zika virus disease. It often shows no to mild symptoms similar to a mild form of dengue. Usually paracetamol and resting may help alleviate the symptoms.
